The Pioneer Monument & Memories

The El Paso County Pioneer's Association created and funded the Monument which stands on the Nevada Avenue side of the Pioneers Museum. This Monument is to commemorate the many founding and hardworking pioneer families who settled and built the Pikes Peak Region.
The Monument includes commemorative
Pavers and Stone Benches
Along with the physical Monument structure and commemoratives, the EPCPA has a dedicated committee of volunteers collecting written memoires and oral history interviews with the contributing families. Within the coming year, EPCPA will be compiling the histories and hopes to publish their stories for the contributing families and to preserve a valuable part of Colorado Springs history.
